Zachary recently posted some of his favorite shots from our shoot with Kai, now you can see some of my favorites below. He is such a great little model!

Victoria took the lead on this particular shoot, but I did get to capture a couple images which I have embedded below. She will be posting some of her favorites soon, so be sure to come back and check them out.

Don't get me wrong, I am not looking forward to another 6 month long Chicago winter. That being said, you can't beat the lighting on a snowy winter day. The overcast sky softening the light from above, and the snow covered ground reflecting it back up makes for unbelievably even lighting. It is certainly one of my favorite situations to photograph in.

Below is my favorite shot from our most recent engagement session. This couple was really great to work with, they even braved the rain that rolled in toward the end of the shoot. If you look closely, you can actually see a couple rain drops in this image.

We recently got to photograph the most adorable 10 month old little girl, she had incredibly beautiful blue eyes, and a charming personality to boot. Here is a shot of her hand-in-hand with her loving parents. Another image from the shoot can be found on our babies page.

Gawker Media's hugely popular automotive blog, Jalopnik, is currently featuring a picture that I recently took of a nicely modified Mustang as their "ridiculously cool" wallpaper. A user by the name of Curves had this to say "Normally, I look at these wallpaper pics and say "Thats nice" but I looked at this one and said WOW. It now adorns my desktop. First time I have ever had a car for wallpaper that I did not own."

Below are a couple images from one of our recent engagement sessions. The groom-to-be, Rod Zamparo, grew up in Lake Forest just like me, and he thought it would be fitting to photograph in various spots around Lake Forest. We will also be photographing their wedding this fall. They are going to be married in the gorgeous Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii in downtown chicago, so check back to see what are sure to be some beautiful images.

Last week Zachary posted some of his favorite shots from the beautiful Stoner / Dunleavy Wedding, and this week it is my turn. This wedding was such a joy for us to photograph, Alison and Sam are really wonderful people and we wish them the best of luck in their marriage! Being a new mom myself, I can certainly understand the special bond between a mother and daughter. The best thing next to having a beautiful moment with my own daughter, is being able to capture that beautiful moment for one of our clients. This little girl was having fun at a family party that we were photographing, but as the day ran on and the sun started to go down, she got tired and just wanted to rest her head on her mom's chest.

As I've mentioned here on the blog previously, I am quite the car fanatic. So when I was recently asked to photograph this gorgeous Mustang GT, I jumped at the opportunity. We found a secluded road that backed up to a prarie, and luckily mother nature cooperated and gave us a beautiful sky. I would say this car was more fun to photograph than it was to drive, though I'm not sure that would be entirely true :)

Here at Z+V, we find that we aquire most of our new clients from referrals from other happy clients. This was exactly this case with the Stoner / Dunleavy Wedding, and we couldn't have been more pleased with this referral. Not only were they a charming couple, they were quite photogenic to boot. I was only in Houston very briefly, but I did have enough time to walk around the downtown area on a quiet Sunday morning and take some photographs.
